Sustainability and new AOC regulations

Up to now, I haven’t really posted links, or commented much on wine news.  This one, I think is a worthwhile exception. I won’t say much, since it’s a short piece, and I think rather self-explanatory.  I’ll just note two points: First, that I think it’s heartening to see even something like the AOC system (aka, bureaucracy) taking climate change and sustainability seriously.  Second, for those who don’t feel like clicking on the link: The use of new grapes isn’t automatic, but growers must apply and ‘must justify the request by certifying that it will make their vineyards more environmentally sustainable or adapt well to climate change’
